Features

Profile editor

Learn how the Profile editor controls the visible public content blocks of a Zwyn Tag.

The Profile editor controls the blocks shown on a Zwyn Tag public profile. It is where you build, arrange, preview, and update the visible content visitors see when they open the tag.

Profiles are built from blocks. Each block has its own content, type, settings, and layout position. This makes it possible to create a flexible public profile without designing a custom page from scratch.

Move and resize example blocks to see how profile blocks can be arranged before changes are saved.

View mode and edit mode

  • View mode shows the current saved profile layout as it is configured for the tag.
  • Edit mode lets you add blocks, change block content, open block settings, move blocks, resize blocks, and prepare changes before saving.
  • Changes stay in a draft until you save them. You can cancel or revert unsaved changes before they are applied.

Profile block types

Different block types are used for different kinds of public-facing information. The block type controls what kind of value the block can store and how it is displayed on the public profile.

  • Text blocks are useful for descriptions, notes, instructions, names, or longer public information.
  • Image blocks are useful for photos, object pictures, documents, visual proof, or gallery-style content.
  • Link blocks can point visitors to websites, contact links, manuals, external pages, or other useful resources.
  • Label and icon blocks can structure the profile, separate sections, or highlight important information.
  • Value blocks can show smaller structured information such as numbers, dates, yes/no values, or short details.

Moving and resizing blocks

In edit mode, profile blocks can be moved and resized on the layout grid. Larger blocks work well for images or important content, while smaller blocks work well for short values, links, icons, or labels.

  • Moving a block changes where it appears in the profile layout.
  • Resizing a block changes how much space it gets in the layout.
  • Some block types may have minimum sizes or special layout rules so they remain usable.
  • If blocks overlap, the editor highlights the problem and prevents saving until the layout is valid again.

Desktop, tablet, and phone layouts

The editor can preview different layout breakpoints so the profile remains usable on large screens, tablets, and phones. A layout that works on desktop may need different spacing on smaller screens.

  • Desktop layout has the most horizontal space and is best for wider arrangements.
  • Tablet layout shows how blocks behave on medium-width screens.
  • Phone layout helps you check whether the public profile still reads well on narrow screens.

Block settings

The settings panel lets you edit the selected block. Depending on the block type, this can include the label, value, images, links, display options, or other block-specific settings.

Validation and saving

  • The editor checks for invalid block data and layout problems before changes can be saved.
  • If profile blocks overlap in the current layout, the highlighted blocks must be moved or resized before saving.
  • Save Changes applies created, updated, removed, rearranged, and image-related block changes to the tag.
  • Cancel leaves edit mode and returns to the last saved profile version.
  • Revert keeps you in edit mode but resets unsaved profile changes back to the last saved version.

Profile blocks are public-facing content

Use the Profile editor for information visitors should see on the tag page. Use entries when you need records, history, reports, or updates over time.
