Features

Entries

Learn how entries store schema-based records, history, updates, and images for a Zwyn Tag.

Entries are dynamic records connected to a Zwyn Tag. They are useful for history, service records, inspections, notes, reports, visits, updates, or any other information that changes over time.

Entries are based on an active schema. The schema defines which fields appear in the entry form and how each entry is displayed later.

Entries overview

  • The overview shows whether the tag has an active schema, a draft schema, both, or no schema yet.
  • It shows how many entries exist for the tag and whether entries can currently be created.
  • Entries can be shown as visual tiles or as a compact list, depending on how you prefer to browse them.
  • Pagination controls how many entries are shown per page and lets you move through longer entry histories.
  • Selecting an entry opens the detail page for that specific record.

Schema states

  • Active schema means new entries can use the published schema.
  • Active with draft means entries still use the active schema, while an unpublished schema draft is waiting for review or publishing.
  • Draft only means a schema draft exists, but it must be published before entries can use it.
  • No schema means you need to create a schema before entries can be created.

Creating an entry

  • The Create Entry page loads the current active schema and builds the entry form from its fields.
  • You fill in the schema-driven fields, such as text, numbers, dates, yes/no values, links, or images.
  • Image fields open a media side panel where images can be selected before the entry is saved.
  • The form validates required fields and field values before the entry can be created.
  • After a successful creation, the entry is saved and you return to the entries overview.

Viewing and editing an entry

  • The entry detail page shows all stored values for one entry.
  • Existing entries are rendered using the schema version they were created with, so older records remain understandable even if the active schema changes later.
  • Edit mode lets you update the stored values of an existing entry.
  • Image fields can be changed from the media side panel, including pending uploads and removed images.
  • Revert resets unsaved entry and image changes back to the last loaded version.
  • Save Changes applies valid entry updates and pending image changes.

Entries are for changing information

Use profile blocks for stable public information. Use entries for records, events, history, reports, or updates that are added over time.
