How can we help?

Features

Access settings

Learn how the Access settings page controls what public visitors, signed-in users, and the owner can do with a Zwyn Tag.

The Access settings page controls the permission matrix for a Zwyn Tag. It defines what public visitors, signed-in users, and the owner are allowed to do.

Instead of using one simple visibility mode, Zwyn uses individual permissions. This lets you control profile viewing, entry creation, entry viewing, entry editing, and entry deletion separately.

Try the permission matrix

Change the example settings to see how audiences and permissions work together before using the real Access settings page.

Delete entries

Signed-in users can only delete their entries if they are also allowed to edit their entries.

Owner permissions are always kept enabled. Public users cannot edit or delete entries in the simple access editor.

Audiences on this page

  • Public visitors are people who open the tag through QR, NFC, or a public Zwyn Tag link without signing in.
  • Signed-in users are logged-in Zwyn users who are not the tag owner.
  • The owner is the account that claimed and manages the tag.

What you can control

  • Profile access controls who can open and view the public-facing tag profile.
  • Entry creation controls who can add new entries to the tag.
  • Entry viewing controls whether users can see their own entries or all entries connected to the tag.
  • Entry editing controls whether users can update their own entries or all entries.
  • Entry deletion controls whether users can remove their own entries or all entries.

Saving access changes

  • When you change the matrix, the page shows that there are unsaved access changes.
  • Use Revert to discard unsaved permission changes and return to the last saved version.
  • Use Save Access Settings to apply the current permission matrix to the tag.
  • If permissions are not available for a tag, the page cannot show or edit the permission matrix.

Be careful with public permissions

Public permissions apply without signing in. Only enable public actions when anyone with the tag link should really be allowed to use them.
