Guides

Create an entry

Add a schema-based record to a Zwyn Tag, such as a note, report, service record, inspection, or update.

Entries are records added to a Zwyn Tag over time. They can be used for notes, reports, service history, inspections, visits, updates, or other structured information.

The Create Entry page uses the tag’s active schema to build the form. The schema decides which fields appear and which values are required.

Before you start

  • The tag needs an active schema before entries can be created.
  • You need permission to create entries for the tag.
  • Prepare the information you want to record, such as text, dates, numbers, links, yes/no values, or images.
  • Required fields must be filled in before the entry can be saved.

Steps

  1. 1 Open the tag from your dashboard or My Tags page.
  2. 2 Open the Entries page for the tag.
  3. 3 Choose the action to create a new entry.
  4. 4 Fill in the fields shown by the active schema.
  5. 5 If the schema contains image fields, open the media panel and select the images you want to attach.
  6. 6 Review the form and fix any required fields or validation messages.
  7. 7 Save the entry when all required information is valid.
  8. 8 After saving, return to the entries overview to see the new entry in the list.

Working with fields

  • Text fields are useful for notes, descriptions, instructions, or longer written information.
  • Number, date, and yes/no fields help keep structured values consistent between entries.
  • Link fields can store URLs, references, manuals, or external resources.
  • Image fields can store photos or visual documentation together with the entry.

What happens next

  • The entry is stored on the tag and appears in the entries overview.
  • You can open the entry later to view its full details.
  • If you have permission, you can edit the entry and save updated values later.
  • The entry remains connected to the schema version used when it was created.

Entries are historical records

Use entries for information that is added over time. Use profile blocks for stable information that should always appear on the public tag profile.
